Presentation and Interactive Q&A at the Naples Regional Library

(Naples, FL – February 24, 2025) Naples Concierge Health is pleased to invite the Collier County community to the third session of their health and wellness seminar series entitled “Understanding Dementia: A Patient’s Guide” on Friday, March 28, at 10:00 am, at the Naples Regional Library (650 Central Ave, Naples, FL 34102). This seminar is free to all attendees, but RSVP is required at admin@naplesconciergehealth.com.

“Understanding dementia is vital for patients and their families to manage the condition effectively and with compassion. In addition, knowing what to look for to identify symptoms early will help with timely interventions that are crucial for long-term health planning,” said Dr. Jonathan Marsh, founder of Naples Concierge Health. “We hope you can join us for this informative session.”

Dementia is an umbrella term for diseases associated with a gradual decline in memory and reasoning, which results in the inability to perform typical daily tasks. These diseases are also associated with a person’s drastic change in mood and behavior, impacting relationships with people around them and potentially leading to mental health issues. According to a report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 4.0% of adults aged 65 and older in the United States reported a dementia diagnosis. This diagnosis was found to increase with age: 1.7% for 65-74 years old, 5.7% for 75-84 years old, and 13.1% for those aged 85 and older. Dementia cases are expected to increase as the population ages. Hence, understanding the causes of dementia, their effects, and how you can address them is essential for long-term wellness.

In this seminar, Naples Concierge Health will discuss different types of dementia, prevention strategies, and the available treatment options that will help patients and their families manage symptoms and adapt to the symptoms.

Dr. Marsh will provide information on the advanced screening services at the core of its healthcare programs, which will efficiently assess your current cognitive health and help create effective treatment plans to optimize your health.

Dr. Hamilton, the Lead Clinical & Psychometric Rater and Business Development Manager at Aqualane Clinical Research, SWFL’s premier clinical research group will provide insights on clinical research, the importance of memory screening, ongoing Alzheimer’s studies, and FDA-approved treatments that stemmed from prior research.

The seminar is free and is only the third in a series of health topics that will be discussed to help you stay at peak performance. More details and future dates of the seminar will be announced at NaplesConciergeHealth.com.
